"Stop living in hope and start living. The happiness you’ve been searching for is already within you."
Each of us must take responsibility for our own happiness. We can not rely on each other or material items to be consistently happy. The happiness we crave comes from deep within. True happiness is not something you find, it’s something you accept.
It starts from within... "Happiness is a journey, not a destination." And only you can decide when you’re going to take that journey. If you’re not already familiar with the inner self, learn what you can about it. This is your Kingdom. And it holds an unlimited supply of everything you need to survive in this world including love, wisdom, power and happiness. Also referred to as your higher self or your intuition, it serves you unconditionally and with the most honorable intent.
It builds with confidence... "Wall by wall, building by building, we find or build a Kingdom within ourselves." True confidence is measured by our ability to unconditionally accept that we are both competent and capable. In essence we can do, or at least learn to do anything we please to do. Confidence is the fundamental variant in everything we do. Our ability to complete the task is often determined by the level of confidence we have within ourselves to achieve it. Your Kingdom stores and protects everything you need to survive. If you don’t have a Kingdom, build one. If you do, make certain it’s walls are strong. Your Kingdom may have to last you more than a lifetime.
Be prepared to make choices… "Behind every choice we make, stands one of two things; Love or Fear." Love emerges from our higher self. Fear manifests from the ego. This is why you should always trust the higher self when given the option. Your gut feeling is the most powerful tool you have. Get in tune with it. If we’re guided by our higher self and our inner wisdom, we will always find true reason. It’s not as hard as you may think either. Certain rules apply when understanding choices. Love and fear cannot co-exist. The choices we make can only be fueled by one or the other. When fear is chosen we feel a weight pulling us back from that situation. When love is chosen we feel light and free. Fear is controlling. Love is freedom. Love may not be a word you typically associate with in your everyday life but it should be associated with every choice you make.
Live every moment in the moment… "Only when we truly understand what living in the moment is all about, may we learn that living in the moment is all we ever needed." Living in the moment means focusing on one task at a time whilst keeping your mind open to everything else around you. It means not been scattered with too many tasks or obsessed with just one. Learn to let go of the past and stop worrying about the future. Mistakes belong where they happened. Learn from them and move on. As for the future, deal with it when you get there or change what you’re doing now to have a better impact. A conscious breath can be all it takes to bring you into the present moment. Our breath reminds us where we are and who we are. You will find a simple and reliable breathing technique on my Blog page. Or there are lots of other techniques around. Daily meditation is also a great way to reinforce your connection with the present moment.
Staying on track... "The law of attraction states you attract what you are, not what you want." So if you want a happy life, teach yourself to be happy. Be passionate about what you do. Look around for people that make you happy. Get back to nature and ground yourself. One of the greatest sources of happiness is making other people happy. Remember that the world is your mirror. We need to see a happy image if we want to be happy. If it does get cloudy, look out for the silver linings. Remember the sun is always shining whether you see it or not.
Happiness is your right. Don’t ever give up the opportunity to be happy. With it, you will eliminate much of the fear, anxiety and stress in your life. You will be healthier, and best of all, you will attract other happy people in your life to help you maintain your happiness.
By no means is this a definitive plan to being happy. You need to find out more about what is specific to you. When you learn to trust yourself, you will learn to recognise the good out of all the information which comes to you. Use this information to point you in the right direction.
